Happy Halloween!

Have a great day...whatever you're doing.

I have work and class, maybe I'll buy a small bag of candy to hand out for when I get home.  I'm dressing as a wizard.  I'm using my gown from Master's graduation and a hat I bought at Mardi Gras years ago.

Re: Happy Halloween!

  • My news anchors made me.  I was trying to be jailbait since our weatherman was in full pimp regalia, but I couldn't find the shirt to go with the mini.  So with some capris, a black chiffon scarf and my new leather jacket, I'm Rizzo.  Easy, yet functional.
  • I just spent $30 in candy for trick or treaters. Also found out youngest son is being tested for gifted this week :)

  • I too bought about $30 worth of candy! I hope we have lots of kids stop by, b/c DH and I don't need to eat about 10 lbs worth of candy!

  • I too have work and class.  DH will be home and I bought one bag of candy, just in case, but the past two years we have NOT had ONE trick or treater.  We live by St. Rosalie elementary and I think all the kids go trick or treating at the school.  But it's okay since I'm going to miss it anyway.  My brother's neighborhood in Luling goes all out!  The have hay rides and block parties, etc.  We usually go there, but since I have class, it's no go for me.

But, last Halloween the craziest thing happened so I'll be waiting for a repeat tonight when I get home.  My grandfather passed away the day after my wedding in 2006 and his birthday is today.  Well last Halloween I was up studying by myself and our rocking chair moved back and forth 4 times.  Boo, our dog, walked up to the rocking chair, lifted his paw and laid down at the foot of the chair.  It's weird b/c my grandfather bought Boo for me.  So I'm convinced that my grandfather came to visit me on his birthday, which also happens to be Halloween!  So we'll see if he stops by again tonight.....

  • LSU hahaha that's exactly what my Dh said when he came home "Oh God I hope we have lots of kids come by. I'd hate to have to eat all of this!"  and we will if they don't come by.
