And i become a widow once again....
Today marks the start of softball season. As Andrea was leaving the house this morning she said "see you in june!" 
boo. the only silver lining is that she admitted to me yesterday that this will likely be her last year coaching. thank goodness!

I feel your pain. L is back in school and she is out every Weds/Thurs night and then gone from 6am-4pm Sat/Sun. I am waiting for May so we'll have 3 months of reprieve before the next semester starts.

Well...it could always be worse. For several months, Sandy and I would only see each other on weekends when I would come home from my job. I am a contractor and work 4 days per week away from home. She was in school at the time and couldn't join me. At least you still get to sleep nestled in your honey's arms every night....
Thank goodness she is taking online classes now and travels with me during the week too! MUCH better!!

oh, no doubt it could be worse (it could always be, right?), but its a tough season for me and it helps to vent a bit.
glad to hear you and sandy have a schedule that allows you to be together more now.

You know I was thinking about you and softball season just recently. My friends here are all gearing up for softball season with their DHs. K has her Ph.D. which makes me a widow often. For those of us that don't have one particular busy season I think it can get hard. But I am serious about making it out there this spring and I think watching a game with you would be a blast. So keep me posted on schedules - k?
alas! is she stil wanting to play next year and just give up coaching? i'm guessing that would be much less time consuming than coaching.
our season doesn't start until the weekend after easter, and it's a rec league so no serious practices beforehand. i don't play anyway--i'm much better at cheering from the bench--and c won't be playing what with being pregnant and all, but i'm guessing we'll still be going to the games. my sister plays on the same team and it's really a good excuse for everyone to get together and hang out during the summer.
oh yes, i'm sure she'll still be playing next year. but like yours, our rec league isnt that competitive or time consuming....and the games are later in the evening so i can go and cheer her on. she's also convinced that she'll be playing this year despite our hope that she'll be pregnant (she's on a summer league). i just smile and nod....
