FF gurus please come in

So I know that FF says that you don't have to do anything special for daylight savings time, but is that really true? I am wondering if I missed seeing a temp shift because I effectively changed the time I am taking my temp by an hour.

I have had 10 days of negative opks, 8 days of spotting (??!), and no temp shift at all. Here's my chart for all you chart stalkers out there Wink: http://tinyurl.com/twbchart

My real question is should I still be doing daily opks? Assuming daylight savings time didn't make me miss a temp shift, I do suspect this is probably breakthrough bleeding (not a real post-ovulatory period) but I don't want to waste sticks if it's all for naught. TIA for any thoughts/advice.

Re: FF gurus please come in

  • My charts were so hard to read, thanks PCOS, that no matter what I did FF couldn't pinpoint ovulation. I once did OPK's for over a month straight, just to see and of course, never caught a surge.

With PCOS the best way to confirm is with bloodwork. Even if you catch a  surge there is no guarantee you actually O'd.

I may be crazy, but I have always felt that the spotting throws FF off. Have you tried taking it out and seeing what happens?

I wish I had better advice for you :-(

  • i'm no help, sorry. c works night shift and our doc basically said it was pointless to even try to track temps since her sleep schedule changes so drastically on the weekends. we did try before our initial consult even though we suspected as much, but they were all over the place. she used opks for a couple of cycles before we really started trying, which also ended up being moot because she started with medicated cycles right away...although the positives were quite a few days earlier than we were expecting.
