Another Keenaland fashion question
I'm not usually on this board, but I'm an NKY/Cincy nestie and thought you girls could be helpful.
I saw the post below, but I will not be in a corporate box. We'll be tailgating. Should I still wear nice slacks or can I go a bit more casual? Do people wear jeans?
I have only been once and it was 80 degrees so I wore a skirt and nice top. I always have trouble dressing for spring temps.

I've only been twice, and neither time was to watch races, but I would assume that for general seating jeans would be okay. Hopefully some of the Lexington girls will have more insight for you.
every time i go, i tend to dress up a little bit. mainly b/c IMO keeneland is a tad "nicer" than churchill. don't get me wrong, i LOVE churchill, but most people at keeneland are pretty preppy and dress well. i'd stick w/ slacks, but do keep in mind you'll probably be tailgating in the grass and it's been awfully wet around here. well... there's pavement close by too. anyway, if you go w/ jeans, just make sure they're nice and maybe wear a nice top. try to wear a chunky heel so you don't sink in the grass as that might be a problem. have a great time and ask all the questions you need!!!
You will see every type of dress at Keeneland - shorts, jeans, skirts and tops, dresses. Check with some of your friends. Even the tailgaters usually dress up.
