Golf course and pool - driving distance
hey. 4 of us are looking for somewhere to go this summer for a weekend getaway. preferably w/in driving distance from Lou. the guys would like to play golf, while the girls relax at a pool. good dinner and a couple drinks at night. any suggestions? we'd rather not do a casino resort (Belterra or French Lick). thanks!

NASHVILLE!!! about 4 hours away. tons to do, the possibility of seeing country stars out and about, fantastic restaurants.
I love the Renaissance downtown. The restaurant is really good - but the atmosphere is not so great. It has an indoor pool with a sun deck. It is really close to all the cool stuff downtown - probably within walking distance or cheap cab fare.
I also really like the Hilton Suites in Brentwood. It is a bit out of the way, but all rooms are suites - and the bathrooms are huge! They have a pool, a lounge in the lobby with a pool table. That could be fun for hanging out with the crew. The food is so so at the restaurant.
There is a tour call Nash Trash tour that is supposed to be fun - as in funny. Don't take it too seriously. But you need to reserve places before you go.
And of course - shopping at Opry Mills!!
