The rumor around WKU and BG is...
that WKU's next basketball coach will be Bobby Knight. It's been on the news, on the radio, everywhere. Though it's highly unlikely. I read on the local newspaper's website "that legitimacy appears to be developmental, however. There are no indications as to the level of WKU's interest in Knight or vice versa, nor are there any indications the two parties have spoken or will speak about the position."
Could be interesting, though!

Something to keep my eye on! Thanks for sharing!
I would for sure go to a game if he took the job!
July06Bride2B - I heard the same thing last night; that Knight had been flown in on a private jet. I also heard that he's looking for a teaching coaching job - one where winning isn't everything, and players don't leave after a year or two - so maybe the WKU job would be perfect fit for him.
And after such a great year, this might be the place for him.
But, did the current coach leave??? After such a great year, I can not imagine they would fire a successful coach.
Finally, after all the craziness, WKU officially stated that there will be no Knight.
I think many are disappointed that he didn't stick around and follow up on their great year. Also, he never really thanked WKU or the community for giving him his first head coaching position. That stings a little.

And, yes, Coach Horn, went to South Carolina. I thought he might be a little more loyal to his alma mater, but money (and the SEC) talks.
Well, it was fun while it lasted. However, I would have not liked Knight being at WKU. I do not like the way he coaches. I may be a big whimp, but my thought is always - they are kids. They are trying to get through college. Basketball is their way to do that.
::steps off soapbox:: BTW, I've been getting on my soapbox quite a bit lately. Don't know what my prob is. Maybe is lack of consistent days of sunshine! : )
