I have a few I like - pot roast with veggies, veggie soup, pork raost with orange glaze, beef stew and mac and cheese.
What do you like?
TIA!

Re: Favorite Crock Pot recipes

  • It's not really a recipe, but I like the Marie Calendar crockpot meals.  They are really easy.  You could also do chili in a crockpot.
  • I just got a Crock Pot for Christmas, so I'm slowly delving into this type of cooking.  So, I don't have any great recipes to share, but as I discover them I'll post!  And you do the same!  =)
  • I'd highly recommend a slow-cooker cookbook.  You can do curries, soups, desserts, and even breads and breakfasts.  I have The Healthy Slow Cooker and I highly recommend it.  I'm not much a roast fan.

  • The whats for dinner board is awsome! They have tons of recipes and ideas. One of the recipes floating around there is the pulled bbq pork. I get a 4 pound pork tenderloin, put it in the crockpot cover in a&w rootbeer. Cook on low for 8 hours, drain and add bbq sauce. It is sooo good!! I have made it 3 or 4 times this winter and everyone has asked for the recipe.
  • super easy..

    Chicken Alfredo Soup
    2 cans chicken broth
    2 cans water
1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken
    chopped carrots.. about 1 c
    chopped celery.. about 1 c
    1 chopped onion

Cook on low for 8-10 hours, Shred the chicken with a fork. Add 2 jars of Alfredo sauce, 1 bag egg noodles, and salt and pepper to taste.

    Another easy soup

    Santa Fe Bean Soup
2 lbs cooked chicken cut into chunks
    1 chopped onion
2- 1oz pkgs dry ranch dressing
    1 pkg taco seasoning
    16 oz black beans
    16 oz kidney beans
    16 oz pinto beans
    10 oz Rotel
    16 oz diced tomatoes
    16 oz white corn
    2 c water

Dump all into crockpot and cook on low 6-8 hours. DO NOT drain any of the canned ingredients.. add the liquids to the crockpot.

    Here's a website I've used for recipes

  • I love my Crock Pot!  Actually I think I'm probably obsessed with it...LOL.  I use it several times a week.  Today, we're trying something new that I got out of a cookbook.  I love this cookbook -- it's called Slow Cooker Favorites Made Healthy, and it's published by Better Homes & Gardens.  I bought it at Waldenbooks for $15.  I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a great slow cooker cookbook...there's even a chapter of recipes for two people made for 1 1/2 quart slow cookers.

    Today, we're having...

    Nacho Cheese Chicken Chowder

1 can Campbell's Fiesta Nacho cheese soup
2 cans Mexican style stewed tomatoes, undrained
    10 oz frozen corn kernels
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Cut the raw chicken into bite sized pieces, then mix all ingredients together in the Crock Pot.  Cook on low for 4-5 hours. :) Makes 6 servings.
