Schools released in Louisville
My friend called & said her kids had just got to school & they decided to turn around & send them home. Now why didn't they just cancel school?
Re: Schools released in Louisville
Now I just read on couirerjournal.com that it's "because the forecast changed". Funny how they have been saying for days that we will have an ice storm this afternoon.
Plus, the schools still get their money from the State. If students complete so many hours of school, it's considered a full day. And they don't have to make it up.
It just started sleeting here in Lexington. I was walking back from my exercise class I take on my lunch break - thankfully I had enough sense to take my umbrella!
