DH, DS, and I are going to visit St. Louis next month and are looking for ideas on where to go.
any restaurant recommendations? "must see" list?
Re: need local's advice
How old is DS? There is lots in STL that is free and fun for kids (the zoo and the science center). If you've never been, a trip to the top of the arch is fun (once). Kids love the Magic House (not free, but a lot of fun), and adults love the Anheuser-Busch factory tour.
As for restaurants, I'd recommend anyplace on the St. Louis Originals web site - http://www.stlouisoriginals.com/
That said, many of those are "nicer" restaurants that really aren't appropriate for small children. If you have a handy sitter (grandparent? fellow traveler?) then they're definitely worth a trip for you and your husband, though.
