Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community.     I'm originally from Springfield; it depends on where you want to stay and what you are going to be doing there.  University Plaza is near Missouri State Univ. and pretty centrally located.   However, it's where a lot of wedding receptions and other events happen, so that may not be what you are looking for.  And I haven't stayed there in a long time, so I have no idea if it is still nice.  Otherwise, there are a lot of your basic hotel chains in the city that you can stay at...just depends again on what you are going to be doing.
