We haven't had one of these in a while... what is/has everyone done for dinner this week? Any and all suggestions welcomed!
Mon - Chicken breats with mashed potatoes
Tues - Ground beef with rice and fried eggs
Wed - Chicken breats with pasta (possibly alfredo sauce)
Thurs - Pork loin sandwiches (the Hormel pork loins premarinated are great and easy measl)
Fri - I'll either make spanich tortilla or we'll go out to dinner

sorry, my browser went crazy...
monday - KFC (we had to go somewhere with my mom, and didn't have time to cook)
tuesday - quarter pounder's with cheese, fries and soda (mcdonald's was having a special promotion)
wednesday - i'm making this spicy asian chicken and rice dish, with steamed asian veggies
thursday - depends on if we still have plans with his friends... but maybe (either way) hamburger helper
friday - if i get dress rehearsal tickets for the opera, we'll go have pizza at andiamo after
i haven't had andiamo's in sooooooo long!! i that place!!!
DH and I LOOOOOOVE that place. We usually share the Popey - Sliced Tomoatoes, Ricotta Cheese, Mozarella and Spinach Yum.
I try to make enough of each night's dinner for the next day's lunch, too, but it doesn't always work out that way.
Monday-Bonefish Grill--yum!
Tuesday-Arugula, prosciutto, and mozzarella pizza (my new fav homemade pizza)
Wednesday-Turkey burgers, roasted red potatoes, coleslaw
Thursday-Pork chops, quinoa, green beans (my first time trying quinoa...any good ideas?)
Friday-BBQ chicken breast, couscous, veggies
My DH and I love quinoa! We make it with yellow corn and black beans mixed in together..It's absolutely dilish!
Mon: Baked ziti with ground beef
Tues: Dinner at my parents (Baked Ham with brown rice)
Wednesday: Chicken and vegetables
Thursday: ???
Friday: Probably going out to dinner
BTW I don't cook much and tend to eat at the in-laws or my parents..I'm bad ?
Hey, if you don't mind driving over to their house, that is great for you... you don't have to worry about the cooking and cleanup, and you get to spend time with them.
For the first 1.5 yrs, I didn't cook either. We would take-out a lot, or eat at the in-laws. Slowly, I've actually begun to enjoy cooking. I'm not the best, and I make simple meals, but it can be fun. I like to try out new stuff.
I really enjoy cooking something for the first time, or even perfecting a previous meal, and really enjoying it and seeing DH enjoy it too. Self-gratification... it is nice to have a good meal, and know YOU cooked it and that you can do it (sounds cheesy).

Quinoa Recipe
Ingredients:
1 Cup of Quinoa (rinsed)
2 Cups of water
1/2 Tablespoon of salt
1 Packet of "Sazon Goya"
1/2 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients into pot and mix thoroughly.
2. Let mixture come to a rapid boil.
3. Cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Fluff and serve immediately.
or try this and just sub the rice with quinoa

Moday - made this sandwich with a side salad
Tues- I had a ham sandwich and grapes, he ate left overs from the night before
Wed- Chicken and mashed potatoes
Thursday- lasagna?
Friday- probably going out
Mon - Left over pasta with ground beef
Tues - Pork loin with baked potatoe
Wed - Fajitas
Thurs - Chicken breast with rice.
Fri - Something with shrimp...not quite sure but maybe a scampi and pasta? Looking for recipes.
Monday - I had chicken breast with pasta veggie mix and tomatos mixed with extra virgina olive oil and small pad of butter and salt pepper and garlic powers. DH had tuna fish and veggies.
Tuesday - I had 2 hamburgers w/out the buns with cheese and DH had brats
Wednesday - Mac and cheese with ground beef mixed in.
Thursday - I think chicken and mashed potatos
Friday - Out to dinner
Saturday hopefully a picnic on the boat after work.
