Re: This week's meal plans

  • Oh, and when I cook, I try to make a little leftovers for my lunch the next day.  Sometimes Dh is way too hungry and eats my lunch.  LOL  But that's okay, I always have frozen meals for lunch available.

Hey, if you don't mind driving over to their house, that is great for you... you don't have to worry about the cooking and cleanup, and you get to spend time with them.

For the first 1.5 yrs, I didn't cook either.  We would take-out a lot, or eat at the in-laws.  Slowly, I've actually begun to enjoy cooking.  I'm not the best, and I make simple meals, but it can be fun.  I like to try out new stuff.

I really enjoy cooking something for the first time, or even perfecting a previous meal, and really enjoying it and seeing DH enjoy it too.  Self-gratification... it is nice to have a good meal, and know YOU cooked it and that you can do it (sounds cheesy).
