AW: New cooking toy!

I got a mandoline today at Tuesday Mornings for like $30! It's a Cuisinart that is normally somewhere around $60 and they had one. Perfect shape, no dents in the box... SCORE! I cannot wait to try it out!

Ok, done with the crazy happy dance and whatnot. It's ok if you think it's sad that this makes me happy

Yeah! I love new cooking gadgets! We have a mandoline, but only used it once to make homemade potato chips! I think you've just inspired me to bust it out again and find some recipes that need it! Got to love Tuesday Morning

What do you us a mandoline for?  I have never heard of that but I love new cooking gadgets.  I got a pasta maker for my wedding that I am dying to try out.

SES - you can slice and julienne veggies and fruit and you can make criss-cut/waffle fries! It will just help me out a bit when we have guests over or when I need to shred cucumber, zucchini, carrots, etc. And DH loves criss cut fries! He will probably make them once a week now that we have this

Ooh that sounds cool.  By the way, DH just walked in the room and saw the pictures of your dogs.  He thought that was awesome.  He goes, "Their driving the car!"
