Do you have a crockpot recipie for crockpot chili? I want to make it on Sunday since it is supposed to rain...

Low Fat is better if I have an option :)

Grazie!

Re: **Dani** or other Cooks

  • I have this weight watchers chili recipe that DH and I LOVE.

    1 lb lean ground beef

    2 med onions - chopped

1 lg can tomato sauce (14-16 oz)

1 lg can diced tomatoes with chili?s (jalapeno?s or green chilis) (28 oz)

1 small can diced green chili?s

    1 package taco seasoning mix

1 lg package fat free Ranch Dressing Mix (dry)

    1 can corn (14-16 oz)

3 cans beans -kidney, pinto w/jalapeno or black (or any combination)

    2 Tbsp fresh chopped cilantro

Brown meat and onions, drain, dump everything in a big pot and cook for 30-60 minutes.

Can be frozen in serving size containers.

    1 cup = 2 pts.

  • I have yummy chili recipes but nothing that you need a crock-pot for :(  Sorry...
I'm sure the ones that I have could be made in a crock-pot, I just wouldn't know how/if they need to be changed since I don't own a crock-pot (It's probably the only kitchen tool I do not own!  lol)

Let me know if you want them anyway!
  • I've found that any chili can be thrown in a crock pot. I have a 1 point chili similar to SES's. You can reduce it in 1/2 or even smaller. Instead of putting in a pot, throw the browned meat and all the other ingredients into the crock pot. Keep on low for 6-8 hours:

    Weight Watchers One-Point Hearty Chili

10 ounces extra-lean ground turkey breast
    1 medium onion, diced
    2 (28-oz) cans diced tomatoes
    2 medium zucchini, diced
    2 medium yellow squash diced
1 (15 oz) can black beans
    2 (15-oz) cans fat-free, reduced-sodium
    beef broth
    4 celery stalks, diced
    2 green bell peppers, diced
    1 (1 1/4-oz) package dry chili seasonings.

Spray a large nonstick skillet with nonstick spray and set over medium-high heat. Add the turkey and onion and saute' until browned, about 10 minutes.

Transfer the browned turkey and onion mixture to a large soup pot and add the tomatoes, zucchini, squash, beans, broth, celery, bell peppers, and chili seasoning. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Continue to simmer until the vegetables are tender, about 20 minutes

    Serves 20.
