How is the next month's book chosen and how is the date/place chosen?

Do Nestie's just volunteer?  I am really excited about this, I have always wanted to be part of a "real" book club!

    I think someone volunteers but I'm not sure.  Tonight's is the first one I am going to too.  I have also always wanted to be in a book club so I'm excited as well!

    Dani & I were just talking about this on Saturday...  members of the book club volunteer to host.  usually the future hostess will be the one to pick three books, and she brings a list with her to book club (the list usually has the title and a brief description of each book).  then everyone who attends that book club votes on which book they want to read next.  and so forth and so on.  that way everyone gets a chance to pick different books!

    does that sound okay??

    Sounds great!  Who is going to host next month?  I would volunteer, but it is so hit or miss with the days I have the boys that I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone.....

    Tessa - I am actually doing it a bit differently. I am modeling it off of the Knottie book club. I've chosen three books and have written a synopsis of each.

    I will give it to the Nestie who offers to host next month and she will than pick one of the three or will ask the group to vote on one.

    I'll explain tonight :)

    yeay!  I'm excited, too :)  I've never been in a book club, either...

    I was going to make some goodies but I'm getting over a bit of a cold so I think I'll pass on that!  Don't want to get you all sick... :( 

    Dani - do you need me to bring anything?  I can stop by Vons or somewhere on the way...
