Lets Talk Real Housewives of NYC

Do any of you watch The Real Housewives of NYC?

I am really enjoying the show. I love Countess LuAnn...

What do you ladies think of the show?

Re: Lets Talk Real Housewives of NYC

  • I really like the OC ladies better. I guess I can give it a try, but tonight I am excited to see 20/20 What would you do? I think it looks interesting!
  • Is that the 20/20 about interveneing in a fight between a couple and they are seeing if race plays a part in someone stepping in?
  • yes! thats the one!
  • I like the Housewives of the OC better.  The NYC girls really don't do it for me but I will probably watch them anyways since I love a good train wreck.
  • I like the countess to.  That blonde woman seems a little crazy to me.  I mean, if your daughter is telling you to wear more clothes, maybe you should.

  • i miss my housewives of OC! these NYC ladies are ridiculous and fake! The one lady who "wouldn't dream of going shopping without her husband" Puh-lease!(ok, like the OC ladies are much better, but honestly I think they are!)

Learning to start all over again... Blog
  • I am the extreme opposite. I LOVE the NYC ladies. They seem less "fake". I cant help but watch the OC ladies and think, they are prob. all in debt. I also love the fact that the NYC ladies do a lot of charity work and less physical enhancement.

Then again, I always feel like I belong on the East Coast. I feel like Californians (broad statement) are rude, self absorbed and not very professional. I have a feeling I am going to love DC while we are there and want to move there.
  • I finally had a chance to follow up on all the posts I missed out on cause of my super busy life (j/k!) and realized I forgot this one...

I enjoy the OC one better. I don't really like the NYC girls...

And Cristin... aren't you a californian? I know a majority of the people on this board consider themselves californians... why the bad mouthing on the board? Doesn't really seem fair to all of us :( I mean if you really feel that way that's fine but some things should be left unsaid.

  •   Maybe it's becaue I'm from the OC and my best freind growing up and high school boyfriend both lived in Coto but I liked that show much better.  That one blonde (Ramona?) rubs me the wrog way.  She is jsut as annoying as Vicki (on the OC) was but lacks the humanity.  She and that red headed lady feuding over who didn't get invited to a dinner party and unishing eachother on the tennis court LAME!  Blondie can't eve play tennis she jsut brought that riger of a partner in and then chastized the partner for not playig well enough to beat LuAnn and the redhead, when blondie was stinking up the court ad her husband  (who is the top tennis player in his division or so I heard) tried to help her she rudely yelled at him in front of everyone.

They act liek a bunch of spoiled little kids who are robbing their kids of a childhood by insisting that they are the ceter of everything.
Soe of the OC ladies had issues (ahmmm Tamara) and were pretty lame but some of them really were human to me.  Jeanne Kehough for one seemd lieke a grounded woman who was real and Lauri was for real too (even if she did go fairy tale in teh 2nd season).  The Knickerbocker family actually rode in some of the same horseshows I did as a kid (before the divorce they had some really nice horses) ad their story seemed real to me-- Tammy is her name I think.

I thought I would really like the NYC season but that blonde dumbarse jsut kills it for me-- oh and hte snotty couple who can't do anythign wihtout eachother-- can you say co-dependant?

  • I am sorry to offend. I made a very broad statement. I know that all Californians are not that way. I am a Californian myself. I feel like Hollywood is really changing California and I so not like what I see. I feel like we are such a get ahead society. I am constantly catching myself acting this way and I do not like it.

I think it may be the strong Republican blood pumping through my veins that frustrated me about California, but I am the one that chooses to live in a very Democratic society...

Dani, you know me well enough to know that I will probably never be happy, so please do not take offense. I really had no intention of insulting you or this board.

Again, I am sorry to offend. I was just comparing the vein OC Housewives to the philanthropic NYC housewives, and I feel like I can identify more with the NYC ladies. That is all. Hopefully you will accept my apology.
  • No need to apologize. I wasn't offended because I know your personality and know you wouldn't mean to hurt someone especially on an internet chat board.

I just think that sometimes we should be more aware of the type of board we're posting on and how others might perceive what we write. I guess I never really go by "think before you speak" but I try to make sure I really think before I type and post :)
