A friend and I were there this past Sunday morning and it was packed! What a gorgeous day and an energizing 4.5 mile run/walk.
Where do you like to workout outdoors?
Another of my absolute favorites is the Torrey Pines walk. We start at the bottom parking lot to feel the burn of the hill!
Re: Lake Miramar
I used to love to go walking at Lake Poway which is also really close.
I really do need to get my butt to Miramar one of these weekends! My MIL keeps saying she has a couple bikes she wants to get rid of but DH keeps saying no! WTF? I'd love a bike! Men...
Torrey Pines is gorgeous, too... my sister and BIL go to Mission Trails a lot (I think he proposed there!) - looks lovely from the photos
I grew up being such an outdoorsy person and was always climbing, biking, canoeing, going hiking, etc... but my DH is so not an outdoorsy person! Sometimes the whole opposites attract thing sucks! lol

DH and I now just walk around our neighborhood or take our bikes out around the block.
DH and I do this trail from the half-way trail head, which starts at the park (not the main parking lot). It's about a mile in (mostly an easy walk along a trail) and there is a waterfall! It's really nice and such a cool little San Diego treasure.
If anyone is interested in doing this trail, I'd love to organize! I bet there's lots of water right now given the rain we've been getting.
We love to bike the Bay and I've started to run around there too. The Embarcadero is also a good run in the mornings
DH and I also like Coronado-the Silver Strand that runs south. We ride our bike and it's a good 16 mile ride. It's fairly flat, but I love being near the ocean. It's farther for us, so we don't make it out there as often.
We also like to bike along the 56. We start near the 15 and can get almost to the 5. That's more of a workout because it's a little more hilly. I'm not fond of being near the freeway, but it's good exercise.
