Favorite Restaurant in Hillcrest?
I am planning a date with my hubby tomorrow and want some recs. has anyone been to Sushi Itto in Hillcrest? We are going to watch Juno at the Landmark and I want to eat within walking distance. Thanks San Diego Beauties!!

Sushi Itto is not that great and kind of pricey. There is a sushi place right next to the wireless phone store across the street if you are craving sushi but the ambience leaves you wanting. Bombay is great for Indian food but you should try Ortegas Mexican Bistro. Make reservations because it gets pretty crowded. It is on University next to Edible Arrangements so just a block or so away. you can park at the movies and walk over. They have great food and the almond margarita is my fave although everyone raves about the pomegranite margarita.
I second oretega's my fave!
Or Pizza Nova is in the Shopping center with the movies theatre. Also, Sushi Itto, is Okay. . . we also like Arrivederci's
You brought up my favorite topic...food! Bombay is good for Indian food; Khyber Pass is also good for Afghan/Greek/Middle Eastern food; Taste of Thai is good; City Deli is good for sandwiches. Have fun!

Juno is fantastic! We laughed, we cried and I loved it!!
Have fun!
Seriously the best restaurant there and my favorite in all of San Diego. Please give it a try.
p.s. Juno was awesome!
I can't pick one favorite place, there are too many good ones! Try India Palace, on University & 7th, if you like Indian food. They have lots of vegetarian options, from what I remember, plus their food is delicious.
Also, in the same shopping center is Taste of Szechuan. They have a dish that MH says is really yummy -- garlic shrimp. Their food was really good and, though the decor is a little outdated, it was a really nice experience.
I'm no good with sushi recs, since I don't eat it. MH has had Kiki Sushi (same shopping center as the other 2 restaurants, we live practically next door to it) and Ono Sushi. He's heard that Sushi Itto is the best, but never ate there. Ono is good but a little pricey; Kiki is good too, he says, though it's not as fancy and it's cheaper for larger portions.
