Wedding in San Diego/La Jolla help!
Hi girls,
I need a little help from you if you don't mind! My FI and I are from OK and are planning our spring 09 wedding. We vacationed in San Diego and absolutely fell in love with it and thought it would be a great place for a destination wedding, especially since there are so many attracations for our families and friends to do while we are there. If you could give me ideas on where a good place to hold the wedding and reception is I would really appreciate it. The ceremony we would want on the beach but the reception we are open too. It could just be on the terrace of a nice restaurant too. Also, I was thinking about maybe renting a couple beach houses instead of hotels - any ideas on that? We shouldn't have more than 20-25 people.
Thanks!
Re: Wedding in San Diego/La Jolla help!
I know the owners of a restaurant in Downtown, but they own a terrace in La Jolla that they rent out for weddings/receptions. It is beautiful and overlooks the ocean. I don't know the name of the building, but you would contact their catering manager to set it all up. go to www.imperialhouse.net for contact info and a few pictures that don't do the place justice. I almost had my wedding there but decided on a place near the airport since my DH's family is all from NY. But I have been to a wedding/reception there. It was really nice. It is located in downtown La Jolla and th water is walking distance, as well as hotels.
Good Luck in your search.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
In La Jolla, The WEdding Bowl is a popular spot for on the beach ceremonies.
In Pacific BEach, The Catamaran Hotel has a nice spot on the bay for ceremony and reception and the hotel is nice. out of towners would love it there!
Good luck!!!!!!
