Hello, I just saw you asked where in NJ I was from, sorry...
I was born and raised in Morris County (Roxbury to be exact) then went to Rutgers for college, so I lived in New Brunswick, then we moved to East Brunswick & North Brunswick, and then San Diego! My husband's from East Brunswick...
Are you from the east coast??
Re: Jessimau re: Jersey!
Cool! I was born in Paterson and raised in Clifton, until June of '92, when we moved to CA (my dad lost his job b/c he was working for a financial co. in Manhattan when the recession hit). Technically I've lived in CA longer than I lived in NJ, but you can never take the Jersey out of the girl!
It's great to see another NJ girl out here! What did you study at Rutgers? I'm looking at them for a PsyD program right now, actually.
That is crazy! I know the area, of course!
I was a Communications major at RU, with a Criminology minor (random).
Not that its doing me any good out here, b/c I can't get a job! I was working in Manhattan the past 4 1/2 years before we moved in publishing...its so frustrating!!!
You are right, can't take the Jersey out of the girl! I rock my RU and LBI sweatshirts daily
Very nice! I want an LBI sweatshirt! I've been seriously considering trying to get a group of people together to rent a beach house down the shore one of these summers. Everyone probably thinks I'm nuts, but I'd much rather swin in the Atlantic than the Pacific.
You have to come to GTGs! It's great to meet another Jersey girl.
Oh, when we lived in NJ I went to school at MKA. *blush* It was between there and L'aquadaire (sp?) and my parents chose MKA. What a change it was going to public school! I don't think I wore anything other than jeans and shorts for my first year here.
I would love to go to get-togethers and stuff! I have been trying to be more active on these boards lately...
It would be great to meet!!
im butting in! sorry..
my hubby is orginally from north brunswick but spent most of his years in LBI. he moved out here in '99. all of his family is still back there. we are actually going back to lbi next month for his reunion.
small world!!
