What to do outdoors with 2 1/2 year old today???

Re: What to do outdoors with 2 1/2 year old today???

  • I don't have any recommendations, but I just wanted to say hello and congrats on baby #2! I haven't seen you around in a while. How are you?
  • I'm doing good - we are very excited about #2!! OMG - it has been sometime...lol - Cassidy is so beautiful I think I'm going to hang out here more often --- there are so many moms!!
  • I'm thinking of taking the kids to the local park or maybe Hubbard Park to feed the ducks.

  • We are headed to Stew's for milk & to pick up some things for lunch, then to one of the playgrounds & having a family picnic lunch. :)
  • I've taken my nieces on hikes....and yes, at 2 1/2 y/o.  We dress her up to hike, put on her "hiking boots", get a backpack with snacks and a water, and head out.  We got her a walking stick on the way and she had a blast (as did the 5y/o).  We had to carry her alittle bit, but we went to sleeping giant to the top of the castle and she did 3/4 of the hiking (prolly over 2 miles).  The kids love it and talk about it all the time.

  • I don't have any recommendations, but wanted to say congrats on baby #2! Looks like we're due date twins :-)
  • My 3 year old nephew loves to go on "adventures".  Even if it is just walking through the woods or a trail, he thinks it is the coolest thing.
  • How about the park or the library?
  • I took MJ to the park on Thursday and he's just about 16 months.  He had a blast.  He loved the swings and playing on the playscapes.  But most of all, he really just loved walking around and exploring.  We also took one of his balls, like a kick ball, and he had fun with that as well.
  • I'm a little late (ha ha), but we took Thomas to Hammonasett today and walked around.  He pushed his Tonka truck up and down the beach and the beach parking lot and had a BLAST.  I plan to get a season pass - $50 allows you to park at any of the state parks for free.  Too late for today... but an idea for future weekends!
