Go me!

I just made my lunch using our George Foreman grill for the first time. It was a wedding gift, so it's been collecting dust for 3 years Tongue Tied

Since I'm in an adventurous mood, maybe I'll bust out the Magic Bullet!(another wedding gift that has yet to be taken out of the box)

Re: Go me!

  • Ha,ha in three years this is going to be me. My walk in closet is filled w/ unused wedding gifts.

Seriously, I could open up an online store solely devoted to reselling Bloomingdale's towels and wine glasses.

  • yeah, I have yet to bust open my mario batali risotto pan. Embarrassed

  • I actually use our magic bullet all of the time, it's great for chopping onions/garlic/etc for salsas & guac. The alfredo sauce recipe that comes in the book isn't half bad either and is done in 2 minutes.

  • R just reminded me of my biggest use of the magic bullet - it makes basic protein shakes taste a lot better (it seems to get most of the bubbles out).

  • go you!  the GF grill is awesome.  i miss ours (we got rid of it because i hated cleaning the plates, which weren't removable).

i think the only wedding gifts we have that we don't use regularly are the china and stemware.  but we do bust 'em out at the holidays.

we tried to be really careful about what we registered for.  i don't think we requested/received anything that we wouldn't use.

that was my "go to" meal when i wanted something nice in grad school. it's also good if you mix it into some pasta with a little homemade pesto. mmmm!

  • I have never used my magic bullet. Protein shakes is a good idea. And I would love to chop less onions.

We had to buy almost all of our good kitchen stuff, like our china and pots and pans. It really cut out the stuff I'll never use, I guess.
