Looking for info on Torrington
Hi ladies - I posted this over on theknot but was told it would be helpful if I posted it here also.

we've just started looking for homes and plan on buying in the next year and when we did a quick seach entering in out "must haves" - 4 BR, 2.5 BA, 2 floors + basement, new construction (nothing built prior to 2003), min .2 acre but would like .5+ & 2 car garage, min 1700sq ft.... the houses that came up were under 100k cheaper than some of the other areas we are looking at (hamden 06518, no branford, no. haven, wallingford 06492)
And seeing we're not familiar with the area at all I was just looking for some info... when we buy we're not buying as a "first" home we're looking at it as a home we can grow and have a family in one day... so basically just hows the neighborhoods... safe? clean? basically is it an desirable town to live in? ... we're not really concerned with the school system because FI is adament once we have kids he wants them in private school.

Wedding planning is coming along... we have a little less than 5 months to go but it's all coming together. My FMIL is still crazy - I don't think it's going to set into her head until we're at the alter that her son's getting married and she can't get rid of me lol. (although she's trying like hell` to make this wedding process miserable).
All the girls ordered their dresses, so that's a major check off the list of worries. & we have a meeting with the florist tonight to pick out our bouquets and bouts. fun fun! We still have to finalize our invitations and see the baker but other than that it's just small touches left to do. How's married life been?

Sounds like you're all set. You're way ahead of where I was with 5 months left! Good for you. Enjoy every second. I seriously miss planning SO much! Sorry about the ongoing FMIL issues. She'll give up being a jerk soon.
Married life is good, just enjoying being husband and wife and thinking about buying a house soon (like you). Which is stressful, but exciting. I'm sure you know what I mean!
