**Blue and Kelfitz**

I am looking into preparing to have my daughter baptized in Fairfield.  Are/did you have your baby baptized in a church in Fairfield?  If so, which one?  How was your experience?  My husband and I are not members of a particular church at the moment.  We just usually go to the church which is convenient each weekend.  I am wondering if this will be a problem for us as some churches are strict about you being a member.  Thanks!

Re: **Blue and Kelfitz**

  • We used Father John at Saint Anthony's on South Pine Creek Road, and he was amazing.  He is a down to earth, refreshing, super kind man and we loved every minute of the christening.  We are not religious people and don't go to church regularly, and he treated us like family.  I can't say enough good things.

I believe Blue is using the same church/priest.
  • I will definitely have to look into St. Anthony's.  I appeciate the info.  By the way, do they typically do the christenings on Sundays?
  • They typically do the christenings on Saturdays.  The parish is small enough that the ceremony is private, just for the people you invite.  They don't usually christen more than one baby at a time.
  • I have never been to that church.  It sounds really nice and intimate - exactly what I was looking for!
  • It's a wonderful parish.  If I had more energy I would go more often. :)
  • ditto to everything fitzy just said.  Father John is great, we were very happy with this choice.  Can't wait to have the ceremony and have our boy baptised.   We are even using the rectory next door for a breakfast afterwards for our guests.  (we invited close to 70! don't ask...its my IL's way).
