Re: question on thank you's

  • I always been taught to thank them for the specific gift....for example, thank you for the gift of money (or monetary gift).  I always add in something in regards to how the gift will be used.  For the money...it will go towards her college education, etc, etc

Also, wanted to ask if you made the punch?  and if so, how did it turn out?  Also, saw that your family owns Bowl-a-rama....so how are you related to Rip???
  • yes the punch came out great. thanks. yes rip is my uncle do you know him?

What i was gonna do was make a general thank you for everyone and have emma put her handprints on them.

  • I have to say that I am very against general thank you notes.  I am a thank you note fiend.  I send them all the time and they are always hand written and specific.  I think thank you notes need to be written and not just printed.  (I'm also crazy about Christmas cards and feel they should be handwritten and individualized, so I might be crazy.)

    Just my 2 cents...
  • Yeah I've worked on him before...a couple years ago at my last job.  He was a nice guy.  Quiet, but always worked hard and wanted to get better.

I think the handprint idea is cute...maybe you could then just handwrite a little note about their gift.  HTH
  • I think the idea of a handprint is cute, but each thank you should also have a handwritten, personalized message thanking the person for the specific gift that they gave to Emma.
  • If your creating them on the computer, how about her hand print, edit it and colorize the lines add EMMA under in a free "kid style" font and use that on the front cover. I with the others in hand written thank yous... sorry.
  • I did picture thank you and wrote on the back...not until I told some people to flip them over did they know I wrote something. Just a side bar.
