where do you start looking for a used car?
Like, a website? or do you just drive into some lots and bring someone who knows cars with you? My stepfather found my last car and the place was small so I want someplace with a bit more selection.

www.bargainnews.com is a great site too. We just bought a used car, and surveyed a bunch of places online and then a few dealers in person. A lot of dealerships list their cars with prices online too. Also check out www.kbb.com and www.edmunds.com for pricing. We just did a lot of research online so we didn't have to spend too much time at the dealer! Good luck!
I bought my first car from Carmax and they were fabulous. you don't haggle on the price, they are very up-front with you on financing too. if I was not picky as to what type of car I wanted, I'd start there.
otherwise, i personally have had great luck buying used from Brewster Honda in NY, as have several other people I know... H has also bought used from New Milford VW and they're great there... and my family has had bad luck buying used from Honda of Danbury.
