Fenway/Boston help!

We are headed to Fenway tomorrow night for the game.  We have always had a place to park within walking distance to Fenway, but no longer have that luxury.  Ideally we'd like to park and take the T in.  Any insight on what would be the easiest and involve the least amount of walking?  tia!

Re: Fenway/Boston help!

  • The easiest thing to do is to get off the Pike at exit 14 (I think) and take 95 South for one exit.  Follow the signs for the Riverside T station and park there.  It's like $4 to park and $2/pp to ride in.  It's about a 1/2 hour ride.  From there you can either take the Fenway or Kenmore stops, both are about the same distance from the park!
  • perfect! Thank you!!  We've been to so many games, but like I said, we've been spoiled with a very close and free parking spot! :)
  • Oh, and I may hate you just a little bit, LOL.

I'm jealous that you still feel good enough to go.  My sis had an extra ticket for tomorrow (or was it tonight?) and I just couldn't do it.

  • well, I'm hoping to still feel up to it for next week too! We have tickets for next Friday night as well!  DH is making tomorrow a trial run and will decided whether or not I will be joining him next week!
  • Good luck!!

I'm going in mid-August and again at the end of Sept, but that seems to be it for this year.

    =(

  • Here is where we park.   Pike to Pru exit.   Go off pru ramp and round the prudential shopping building (cheesecake facorty, mall) and take first right (Belvedere) and then next right on Dalton.  The Dalton St. Garage is only $12  (may have gone up to $15) or you can park at the Pru accross the street (on Dalton).  (Don't do the pru parking right off the highway unless you are late, harder to get to car and pike.)

From there, the walk to Fenway is 8 min.   And getting back on the pike takes 3 min.

    Walk to Fenway:

Walk towards firehouse on Boylston and take a right.
Take left on Ipswich St.   Takes you right to the back gates of Fenway.   Easy in, easy out, very safe.

    Back to the Pike:
Leave towards Boyston, and take a quicky right/left around the firehouse to Hereford St.   Take left on Newbury St.   Pike ramp will be right in front of you.  (I find this easier then Mass ave.)
  • Also there are tons of ricksaws (sp.) that work for tips only.,  They take you right from parking to the gate.
  • We always park at Riverside and take the t in... we love it...
  • I do Riverside also, that's the stop where I went to College. (Lasell)...it's clean, feels safe and I know the area.
