What could this pain be?

Well- more of a dull ache that isn't going away.
Started last night at work, my back started to bother me on the right side.  No matter how I adjusted I couldn't get comfortable.  Rubbing the area didn't offer any relief, so I thought maybe it wasn't my muscle but an organ....so I drank LOTS of water.

Came home- went to bed thinking it'd be gone by morning and it's still there only slightly stronger, and now my right arm and leg just wont "wake up" they are just kinda numb, like if you sleep on them too long, but I've been out of bed for a while.

DH thinks it's my gallbladder again b/c it's the same region- but it feels NOTHING like it did the other times I've had issues.  Those were down right painful- this is just annoying and persistent.

I'm calling the Dr when they open...but in the meantime would love some feedback.

Oh- and would you call primary or OB?  When I had my gallbladder issue when pg w/ Anthony they had me go to the primary.

Re: What could this pain be?

  • Sounds like what I had when pregnant with Mattingly. Turned out to be a UTI that turned into a kidney infection. I would call your OB & explain.

    ? - is it your lower/ middle/ upper back

  • Could be a pinched nerve, but I would go to the doctor, (is it just numb, or does it feel weaker on one side)
  • Right side of my back- kinda 1/2 way between the side and my spine...like middle of my right side of my back...does that make sense?

  • Kidney infection?  UTI?  Though I'm not sure that those would explain the sleepy limbs.  I'd start with the OB and let them tell you to call your primary, that's kind of been my rule of thumb while PG.
