Re: Anyone here Country Fans?
He has this new song... well, new to me, maybe.. anyway, it is called, "Better as a Memory". So good. Although I question the Renee Z. moment...
I also really like Brad Paisely. I think he and his wife are too cute!
Glad you liked! I love that song!
:0) I like all of those too! I am a big Miranda Lambert fan, too. I also like Taylor Swift although I can't understand why I've recently heard her on the pop station. But she is a lot better role model that some of the pop princesses we know and love-hate!:0)
My Dh and I used to go to a lot of concerts. We saw Brad Paisley, Sarah Evans, Rascal Flatts, and a couple that are eluding me right now.
But I have to go to bed. I am SO tired.
Many of the country songs today could be pop song crossovers. Modern country is definately different than our parents country music!
I hated country music growing up because my step father used to change my bedroom alarm clock station from Q-105 to 97.7 WCTY (the country station here) at night just to mess with me. I would wake up to twang.
Then I moved to Missouri where country music is more popular than pop. There were 5 country radio stations and only 1 pop station and it came in sporadically. So, by default I had to listen to country. Also, my first night there Garth Brooks had a concert which was played on cable. Nothing else was on so I watched it. Surprisingly, I loved his concert and ended up getting used to country music.
So now, I like modern country (I still don't like the old time twangy country though).
I couldn't pair up the singers with their songs though. So, I'm not sure about Kenny Chesney.
I love country music - and Kenny is my favorite!! I've seen him in concert 3 times!
I've been to a bunch of other country concerts - Surprisingly Toby Keith puts on one of the best shows! Rascal Flatts is pretty good too! We saw them at Mohegan a few years ago and for a few songs my cousins and I got to stand by the stage! It was awesome!

I agree with Natalya - many of today's country songs have a more "pop" vibe - not so twangy like they used to be. I hear country songs all the time on the Sirius Hits station.
I think I got into Kenny so much because he's kind of like country music's Jimmy Buffett. He's all about summer and sunshine!
LOL
Oh, and I like Taylor Swift, too. I heard a couple of her songs and liked them and then found out who she was.
DH and I started listening to country a few years ago. We like most of the newer stuff, with Toby Keith being our favorite. We saw him last summer and it was one of the best concerts we've ever been to (although before this show I had heard mixed reviews about him).
I've liked Garth Brooks and The Dixie Chicks forever. And we're both huge Johnny Cash fans!
I'm amazed I got that one since my dh is not a country fan... but I'm slowly converting him He heard the Josh Turner song "will you go with me" on the radio and after the 3rd time he heard it he asked who it was and then downloaded it. It is now his ring tone on his cell phone.
