Happiest Baby on the Block

For those who have read this/ seen the DVD... Is it worth it? Ryan is definately NOT the happiest baby on the block!

I'm sure I'll be in yhe minority, but it did not work for us.  Jack absolutely hates to be swaddled. He didn't like the hold and swing. I found the shushing to be obnoxious/scary.  He responds to walking around, a change of scenery and my "mom" voice as its been called.  And being tucked in tight to DH's chest and hummed to.  (poor man's white noise machine, LOL)

 I read it while still pg and Aidan was an easy baby (IMO).  But he did not ever like to be swaddled or shhushed, not sure if I used any of the stratagies.  It was  a quick read, I skimmed it while tutoring a kid at the library.  If what you are using isn't working it can't hurt to try.  Every baby is different, it may work for you.

I watched it with Lucas and many of the things that they showed did help me to calm him down, I figured it was worth a shot to watch it since a friend gave it to me.

Not for us...trial and error, a womb sounds CD, constant movement while bjorned face forward, and time.

I'm sorry that you're having a tough time of it! I think some babies were born to be toddlers and older.

It has helped us.  The girls really calm down when we use the 5 S's.  They like to be swaddled and like shushing even though we get really sick of it sometimes.

It helped us with Cassidy. Don't bother reading the book; I'll burn you a copy of the DVD!

It worked for us. Get the DVD. There are sounds on there that turned my screaming baby into a sleeping angel in a matter of seconds.
