Need opinions! Fence or no fence?

When I bought our house, it was completely fenced in with a chain link fence.  I ended up having a second set of gates installed - one about halfway down the driveway, and the other on the otherside by the side door.

After being on the market for awhile, I'm thinking about taking down the front fence.  The back yard would still be completely fenced.  I'm thinking it would make it look less like we live in the ghetto.  More welcoming and better curb appeal.  DH thinks we should keep the fence, since we do kind of live in the ghetto.  Realtor sides with me, but I've gotten about 50/50 mix of responses from coworkers/friends.

There are some pics here at the listing:

The first pic shows the fence that would come down.  The third one shows the other gates on the driveway.

So, thoughts?
