How much of our llives are wasted waiting at the dr. office?!
I am just so sick of this! I don't know how I'll deal when I'm pregnant and dr visits are plentiful. Seriously, I ask for the 1st appointment of the day, I get there and there's a ton of people there waiting. My appointment was at 8:30, a nurse (who wouldn't even look me in the face) came out and got me at 8:55, rushed me through some questions and x-rays (hand injury), left me standing in the hallway w/o any idea where to go while she yapped on the phone. I decided to try to find my room, which I did, and sat and waited in there. Another nurse closed the door while I waited 'til 9:30. I then opened the door looking around the hallway for the nurse who had brought me in and her and every other nurse just walked on past me like I didn't exist. I sat back down in the room w/the door open and a few minutes later another nurse comes in (again, won't look me in the face), asks if the dr has seen me, I say no, and she says "then have a seat sweetheart, i'll send him in to see you next" and closes the door again. Of course I wanted to punch her for her little comment, I'd been sitting for over 1 hour. At 9:50 the dr comes in and is extremely rude to me, not even saying sorry for the wait and barely even says bye when we're done. WTF?!

FWIW, I haven't waited more than 30 minutes at any OB appts. Though I usually plan for more time just in case.
