Christening outfits

I was thinking about havingthe train of my wedding dress made into my sons christening outfit, however after calling a few seamstresss I found out that it was either impossible or would cost a few hundred dollars. So I was wondering where people went to buy their childrens christening outfits. Any good recommendations?

Thanks

Re: Christening outfits

  • I used this site and had no problems.

I also know a lot of people used this one.

  • Really?  I'm doing the wedding dress thing for DD and a friend of mine just had it done and paid $125 for the dress, a blanket and a bonnet, so I didn;t think that was a bad price.  It was using Maria in Manchester?  I used her to alter my wedding dress, so I'm going to her again.

PS...If Alexa was a boy, we would have named him Brayden.  LOVE the name!  ;)

Thanks for letting me know. I am going to call them now.. Thanks so much!

MY husband and I are both teachers so it was really hard to agree on a name that didn't make us think of any of our past students!  We fell in love with the name Brayden too!
  • I used onesmallchild.com  - very good quality & customer service.
  • we had my dress made into a part of each of the boys outfits & used onesmallchild.com for the actual outfit. my mom actually did the sewing for the dress.
  • check Talbots Kids.... they are closing up the kids division so you might be able to get a sweet deal

  • Not sure which part of CT you are in but I saw some at the Trinket Shoppe in downtown Danielson CT.

My DS is Brayden as well ;-)
