How many appetizers do you eat at a wedding?

My mom is trying to figure out how many to order for my brother's wedding.  I said I eat at least 7 or 8.  I LOVE appetizers- stuffed mushrooms, wings, pigs in a blanket, bruschetta, chicken fingers, thai purses, brie wellington, etc. 

How many do you normally eat during a cocktail hour?  (This will actually be an hour and a half!)

I normally eat 3-4...I end up stopping after that because I know I won't eat the dinner afterwards if I have more!

As many as I can get my hands on. 

At least 5...but more if I can get them.  I'm a piggy, and I love appetizers!

From a catering perspective - the norm is usually 4-6 per person.

I usually eat very few, if any, because I don't want to fill up before the main meal. But I'm probably an outlier.

I usually eat more appetizers than most only because I like them more than the main meal :-)

I could live like the Cher character in Mermaids, who only fed her kids hors d'oeuvres, not actual meals... I would love that!

4-6 more if there are stations and passed. It also depends if it is a hotel I tend to load up on appetizers since the meal is never very good.

I'd say about 4-6 types - I'll try whatever is passed around.

I'd say 5-7 per person.  I like to eat them, but there are lots of things I won't eat which limits the choices.  I'm sure other ppl are the same way.  I wouldn't eat pigs in a blanket, or anything with cheese (bc of an allergy).  Lots of ppl don't like seafood so would steer clear of scallops wrapped in bacon, etc.

Ditto on liking apps.  I'd say 6-7, more if there's something I particularly like.  I'd also err on the side of caution if the cocktail hour is a bit longer, maybe by having something stationary like cheese/veg display.

I'm not kidding when I say 10 to 15 maybe even 20 apps.  I love apps.  I would rather go to a wedding that just served apps and no main meal!  LOL!!  I hardly touch the main meal - not only because I filled up on apps but also because I never find the food at a large even like that to be that good - but for some reason the apps usually are wonderful.  I also think that I'd rather have a little of a lot of things versus a lot of one meal of dry chicken, etc.
