I just called for jury duty, my first time in CT.  It's for Superior Court in Bridgeport. 

Have you ever served on a jury?
What was the case about?
Convict or acquit?

Me, I served on a criminal case in NYC a few years ago.  I was the foreperson (by virtue of being called first), and we convicted this guy of beating the crap out of his coworker.  Pretty boring actually.  DH served on a child molestation case, which was pretty horrific.

Been called twice but never served- I have actually never made it to the court house- they always cancel me the night before.  Good luck.

I was called for last Friday, but called the night before and they didn't need me.

I got my first jury duty letter as well... Rockville.. May 2.... hoping they tell me they don't need me

I get called every three years like clockwork. I've only gotten to voir dire once. I was politely told I was not needed on that particular case and dismissed. So much for my civic duty. LOL!

Chiming in late here but I was on a jury last year. It was a motor vehicle accident and a man and his wife were suing a trucking company. The accident happened on Route 8.  It lasted about 7 days and was pretty interesting. We found the defendant not guilty.

The one time I got a jury duty letter in CT was a week before I was moving to NY.  I got out of it because by the time my date rolled around, I would officially be a resident of NY state.    Never been called yet in NY though.
