Experience with Target Pic Studio?

I have an appointment scheduled on Friday to have Maisie's 6 month pics taken at the Target picture studio on Sawmill. I've heard both good and bad things about getting pics taken at JC Penny's, Sears, Target, etc. Anyone have experiences they could share with me? I'm particularly curious about how your buy/order the pics once they're done. I've heard that you have to buy your pics right on the spot after they've taken them. Is that how it works? Any insight is appreciated. TIA!

Re: Experience with Target Pic Studio?

  • We haven't gone to Target but we went to JCP a couple of months ago.  It was okay, but not great.  I am not a huge fan of formal pictures like that but they ended up being free so who am I to complain.  As for ordering, we didn't want to stick around for an extra 20-30 minutes so we made an appointment to come back later in the week and make our decisions then.  The one main problem I had was that if I wanted anything smaller than an 8x10 then we got multiple copies of the pose.
  • I had some pictures taken for graduation at Target and had a great experience.  I went to the one at Sawmill and bought my pictures right after the session.  I didn't think it took too long afterward but then again I didn't have an infant with me!  My husband ended up getting in some of the pics with me with no issues.  The pics turned out great and we still get compliments on them.  I think you'll have a great experience.  I'm planning on using them again in the future.....Oh yeah, I have also used Walmart's photo studio and Target was a million times better!
  • We did Target for our engagement pictures.  It didn't take more than 5 minutes and we got 1 good picture out of the lot.  I don't remember the ordering process, I could swear we looked at them online, but I do know I had to go back in to pick them up.
