Thoughts on AI last night?

I found it pretty odd that Michael Johns was the one voted off, but the same thing happened to Chris Daughtry too, and he's gone so far since then!  I'm pretty over Sayesha & Kristy Lee at this point....  Thoughts?

I couldn't believe that people were so shocked.  I didn't like MJ so much and I didn't think he was going to win the entire thing.  Kristy Lee and Sayesha had a good previous nights so I am kinda glad they are sticking around.  Although they will both be booted sooner or later.

Brooke's mentioned that her sister is getting married...don't you think they would let her go for like one day/night?  Or do they keep them in lock down?

I was shocked.  I think he's fantastic, and thought he would (at least) be Top 4.  I agree with you - I'm over Syesha and Kristy Lee, too.  I don't think Syesha has any personality, and I'm not sure what has kept Kristy there this long. I'm not crazy about Carly either.

I think he will still have a successful career anyway, he's obviously very talented and just seems like a nice person.

Oh well.....

ladybug - I wondered about that too....Certainly they will let her go for one day so she doesn't miss her sister's wedding....that made me sad.

I had a hard time watching American Idol in the past seasons because so many of the singers were *awful*.  This season has certainly been an exception. 

Michael Johns was definitely my favorite.  His voice is second only to David A. but since David A. is so akward and cheesy (and over-rehearsed) MJ takes first place in my mind.  (David C. deserves my respect but only because he's a good musician and a good performer -- but his voice is not all that awesome and I think he's overrated for that reason.  He could never sing a ballad because his voice doesn't have the texture.)

Anyway, I was sad and I may stop watching now that I don't have anyone to cheer for.

That's the cruelty of it all "Idol"-wise: Kristy happened to have a very good week, but Michael is still better than she is. And he's better than Jason Castro and Brooke White, who basically have a single shtick that happens to succeed if they've chosen the right song. And he's probably better than Syesha, who has a good voice but has yet to discover that she isn't Whitney Houston. And he's arguably better than Carly, who shrieks and shouts a lot. I suppose he's been vulnerable for a long time, since David Cook poaches the rocker vote and David Archuleta takes the young girls who might otherwise be mesmerized by Michael's looks. Michael wasn't destined to beat either one of those guys to the crown. But he deserved to last a little longer than this.

I am so disappointed that Micheal Johns went home. Kristy should have gone home way before him!!!!  I'm in love with David Cook though. :-)

I was disappointed because I liked Michael Johns. I cannot stand Kristie Lee for some reason.I think it is her snotty attitude toward Simon. I also think Carly should go soon.  I like Syesha so I am glad she stayed. I think they are too hard on her - she has an amazing voice. I couldn't believe Ryan made it worse by saying that last year we didn't vote anyone off during Give Back Week.... but ...(typical Seacrest pause)... this year we are going to.
At this point it is all about fan base.

We were so upset!  Michael Johns was one of our top 3 favorites...  Argh. But I agree, he's so talented -- I think he'll get a contract and do well anyway.  Hope so! I think Daughtry was the 6th left...? 

Kristy Lee is cute, but she needs to go next!!!
