Re: **Trisha**
It was fantastic!! I feel like a million bucks and did so about 2 hours afterwards as well as the next day. On Tuesday, I could feel the anxiety trying to work it's way up but it would just completely stop!
They want me to go back in once a week at least for
the first few weeks as it's a "building" process. The needles didn't hurt going in at all but you could certainly tell where all of the energy was flowing. At one point, I jumped a little from the needle in my right hand between my thumb and first finger. I could feel an energy (nearly like electricity) surge there and my hand sorta cramped. Didn't hurt but it was the coolest/oddest feeling. After a while, my hands started tingling.
I had 3 in each hand (one slightly near my forearm), 3 in each foot (one closer towards my calf but on the inside), one in the crown of my head and one between my eyes (couldn't see it). And the last one in my belly region.
They ask you all sorts of weird questions about your poop, libido, at your energy levels throughout the day, details about your periods, where you are in your cycle, what your sleep/dream patterns are like, etc. And they look at your tongue. I think I freaked the intern out
though as he had his instructor come in to take a look. I had a big burn mark on it from drinking coffee over the weekend .
When the needles were in, I was drifting to sleep. I was having REALLY vivid imagery happening in my mind. It was too cool - very relaxing. The music was just perfect.
The best part? The 90 minute session (including consultation) was only $40. It's $30 each subsequent time since I'm going to the student clinic at AIAM (Shrock and Doubltree Rd).
I can't wait to go back next week. It was cool trying to move the needles around in my hands.
