First Acupuncture Appointment Today!

I've never gone before so I'm really nervous!! I want so many things to be cured. My normal GP isn't sure what's making my heart race outside of stress and anxiety, what's aggravating my mitrovalve prolapse go  and why I'm constantly tired. I also have bad allergies, sinuses and issues with TTC and sustaining pg. They are going to think I'm a nut case!!

Think they'll do them all at once :)?

Re: First Acupuncture Appointment Today!

  • i have some of those symptoms too!

but i haven't been to a GP latley! lol if it works let me know! I need helps! :D

    Good luck Trish.

  • I think they try to address the biggest ones first, while working on the smaller ones a bit too. For example, I was going for migraines and then once I got pg, they couldn't do as much with those pressure points anymore, so they focused much more on my allergies.

They will ask you all sorts of crazy questions, but it's procedure (and they'll ask everytime.) Like how well you sleep, how much water you drink, what problems you're having, how "regular" you are, LOL. Plus, they always want to look at your tongue and take your pulse. It cracks me up. But it's pretty great once they get the needles in and you can take a little nap. :)
  • Erin's right - they'll focus on the bigger stuff first.  Many of the points for stress are good for sleep, too so you may be able to kill 2 birds with one stone.  I hope you enjoy it!  :)

  • I've never had it done before, but hope it helps relieve some of your symptoms!
  • I think it's wonderful what you're doing. Be sure to let us know how it goes. I've never done acupuncture before and I'm very curious. GL!
