Germain Theater

This morning I was listening to the radio and the hinted at the fact Germain wasn't going to host any concerts this season.  I thought about googling it, but I figure I could find out a little more by asking the ladies in the know.

Re: Germain Theater

  • I believe that last season was it's last, but I've heard rumors that another outdoor ampitheatre is being built not too far north of Polaris off 71.  I haven't heard too much about it lately, so that may have changed!
  • Are they going to demolish the theater?
  • I *believe* a developer bought it, so more than likely.
  • Yup - they realized how much $$ that land is worth now, so I think they're parceling it off to be developed. Since last summer was the last concert season - I'd be shocked if that hadn't already started tearing it down??
  • I don't think the land has sold just yet - from what I hear - so who knows what'll be going on this summer!

    Cruise Countdown Tickers
  • i thought they were forced to shut down due to all the people that started developing in the area (after the ampitheater was already there) complaining about noise and such

not sure what people expceted when they bulit by an ampitheater.. but.. yeah.

  • I saw my first concert there in the second year it was open, before there was even a freeway ramp off 71.  Time and change. :/
