XP from Knot--Engagement gift ideas
Hi ladies!
One of my college roommates just got engaged to her boyfriend of 9 years! It was always a running gag that they'd never make it down the aisle, because they'd been dating in high school, through college, and now we've been out of college for 4 years!
So, I want to get them something unique/special as an engagement gift---but I'm at a loss of ideas.
What are some of the best engagment gifts that you've received or given?

We got a few gift certificates to nice restaurants. It was nice to use them and go on a date during the hectic planning process. So now that's usually what I give as an engagement gift.
