I think I finally talked DH into moving to Orlando instead of Port St. Lucie. If we wanted to live on the southern side of Orlando, what are some nicer areas to live with shopping, grocery, etc nearby?
Any help is sincerely appreciated!
Re: Help again!
Ditto, I'm still "new" to Orlando. I've lived here two years..lol
I too can tell you of East Orlando...
If you're looking to be centrally located in the area, I live in the area just south of downtown, and I love it. I live in a condo, but there are some nice established neighborhoods in the area (i.e. Delaney Park, Wadeview Park, Lake Cherokee). I work in Southwest Orlando, and it's not a bad drive to there, but it's also convenient to the other parts of the metro area. Baldwin Park and Audubon Park are also nice, central neighborhoods.
If I remember right, you said your DH would have to commute to the east coast and/or to South Florida right? If that's the case, I'm guessing y'all may want to be closer to either 528 and/or the Florida Turnpike, right? In that case you may like Hunter's Creek. It used to be kind of remote, but they're adding a lot of amenities in that area, so it's actually a really nice place to live.
HTH! GL with your move.
