anyone ever had one?
what kind of tests did they run on you? what happened with it? everything turn out to be ok?
thanks ladies for your info. i'm trying to avoid webmd.
Re: ovarian cysts?
I've had one.
DEFINITELY avoid WebMD/Google!!!
They're NOT a big deal at all. Almost everyone has them at some point, but most of us don't notice them. They should go away within a cycle or so.
Mine was in a place where it partially closed off the tube that carries your pee from your bladder, I think, which made it hurt really bad to pee (not a UTI, though). It went away within a couple of days--the doctor told me it's totally normal.
Don't worry until there's something to worry about (but I can't say I blame you) ((HUGS))
My ob/gyn ordered a CA125 to be run (which I had done last night) where they check the level of that protein in your blood for cancer. I haven't actually talked to my dr about it yet. It was found in an ultrasound, because I've been having some unusual cramping. So after rreading the results of the u/s she decided to have the bloodwork done.
I'm sure it's nothing, but now I have to wait a week to hear anything.
I can totally understand why you're scared, especially with the test run. When do you expect to have the results?
thanks for answering my questions...
I think most of the time they do resolve themselves. However, if it hadn't then they would have put me back on the pill (I had gone off in Sept 06) which I did not want b/c I knew we would be TTC in 6 months or so. So, moral of the story is everything turned out ok and I conceived my babies 1st month trying.
Often, pain occurs when they rupture, so it could go away soon as your body gets rid of the remnants.
I have had several, and they never ordered blood work. They just told me that if the pain didn't go away in 1-2 months, to come back and they would do something else.
I've also had several seen on u/s, and they told me to not even worry about it.
