Re: update on henry
It would take considerable restraint not to just go in and beat that stupid vet senseless with a chair. Best of luck controling yourself. Not that it will help make Henry better, but they truly deserve to get closed down, especially after doing nothing to actually help his injuries.
If there really is power in good thoughts, I pray it works for you now.
I can't read the blog b/c I am atwork, but will when I get home.
((HUGS))
This is terrible, and I hope he pulls through. Dogs are our babies, and I can only imagine what you are going through...all the emotions.
You need to get a lawyer.
Oh Hannah, I'm so sorry
I will pray for Henry and keep him in my thoughts today!
This is absolutely shocking and horrible. I don't blame you for spending whatever it takes to try to save Henry - I would do the same for my dog. I agree with the others, it sounds like this vet's treatment fell way below the standard of care and she needs to be held accountable.
If you meet with her I would start by making it clear that Henry's current vet indicated her treatment and that of her staff fell below the standard of care (use those words) and that for starters you expect her to pay for the vet bills. If she gives you any resistence whatsoever do not hesitate to mention that you will involve an attorney if she forces you to do so. I'd be happy to talk with you about it if you want - michelle at yourohiolawyer dot com.
I hope and pray that Henry pulls through this. I can't even imagine what you are going through. Hugs to you.
That daycare/vet should be put out of business and pay all of Henry's medical bills. That is ridiculous! I hope Henry pulls through all of this. I didn't realize you were pregnant on top of all this..I checked out his pictures..he's such a cute dog. He will be in my prayers and please keep us updated.
I hope you follow BuksFan's suggestion and at the very least get them to reimburse you for your expenses. If they even hesitated in the slightest you'd have to hold me back from jumping that vet and beating her to a pulp. Paying your expenses is the LEAST they can do, considering all the anguish they've now put you and DH and Henry through.
For now, I'll be thinking about Henry hoping he pulls through. I can't believe this vet allowed him to leave their premises in this condition?!?! And how the heck did this happen to begin with? Obviously another dog attacked Henry, but don't they have measures in place to prevent this? I'm not familiar with doggy daycare so I don't know. Ugh. I'm so sickened by this, and so very sorry for you all. Hang in there Henry!!
: ( Not much to say. Everything you said in your blog would be my exact way of thinking. Good luck with not beating the vet to a pulp.
I'm praying for you guys and for Henry. I am so sorry to hear that he has to go through this. Lots of (((hugs))) and in my opinion I think you should go punch those piss poor vets in the head for hurting your dog.
Please keep us posted!!
I am so sorry to hear about poor Henry. I hope he pulls through and makes a full recovery. I think that the vet should be held accountable for his medical expenses. That's insane!
I read your blog about Henry's experience. I am a little confused about how the injuries happened to him. Was he in a fight with another dog? Why did the vet allow that to happen? Did they call you to tell you that Henry was injured? I probably missed some of the details as I read it.
In addition to talking to the moron vet and demanding reimbursement, I'm also guessing there's some state or national vet board she should be reported to.
I will be checking your blog/nest for updates.
