POLL: Update on your life....
I know I post rarely but there has been so much going on. Fill me in on your life if you have time. Anything new? Vacations coming up? How is the diet going? Baby making? House renovations? In-law issues? Pets? Baby sleeping issues, feeding issues? How is the job?Big life changes? Anything you would like to share? I hope everyone is doing well. I read almost every day but almost never post. I guess I'm lazy. Anyways, fill me in (fill all of us in!). I'm excited to read about everyones happenings.
And Kristy, your post almost made me barf. YUCK!

Let's see....hum I'm
- Sort of dating a guy from work. He's good to me but grouchy on the surface. Working on changing that. We have so much fun together though.
- Suppose to go to San Diego in May but may postpone for a month or two. My dad is also going to come into town sometime this year.
- Work is super insane and it's not going to get any better until after the upgrade next year. :-(
- Can't wait to start working on my flower beds. They look so awful right now. Where is Spring?
- Just got a new laptop for home (Dell Inspirion 1720) and I'm in love with wireless internet. he he he Love being able to sit my fat butt on the couch and surf the net.
- Still getting over this ridiculous cold. WTF?
Hope all is well with you and everyone else!
1. I started a new job about 6 months ago and I am the happiest I have been in a while at work.
2. Connor started a new daycare (in-home) and he absolutely loves it.
3. We are going to Florida in June with DH's family and to South Carolina in September with my family.
4. I just started a weight-loss challenge with my co-workers. No fried food for 30 days in an effort to get into better shape.
5. DH and I decided last month to start trying for a second baby. No luck this month so I am going to start charting this month.
6. Nothing else major is going on. Our life seems to be clicking on all cylinders right now which I kind of like.
i feel the same, im glad you posted this, i feel so behind. honestly i have so much crap i cant even type it all!
1)renovating the condo to sell and move closer to work has become our #1 priority
2) we're redoing the bathrooms and adding in pergo in the whole first floor. the bathrooms look amazing right now
3) i'm working in west jefferson every day of the week, 6 days a week for the next 4 weeks. thats a lot of driving from canal.
4) work sucks, still. but i'm still here.
5) i have decided that at the end of the year i am beginning online courses through the Art Institute of Pittsburg to get a degree in graphic design. it will take about a year and a half i think.
6)im closing up my etsy shop short term, until the we get the house sold
7)my dog is fabulous, my family is fabulous, my husband is more than fabulous, he is working 60 hour weeks
8) we are selling the duplex as soon as we get renters in both sides
9)planning lots of parties for my friends, so excited
10)taking a group vacation to an all inclusive in Mexico in October
11)i could go on, but i have to go back into the lab now. i put a lot of the other stuff i'm working on in my blog- ie starting a non-profit, being in weddings, etc etc
Well the most new thing for me is the kitty I adopted last week. She is 9 months old, a torti, and a little nuts. SO she fits in perfectly at my house!
I have a very nice, very promising relationship going on right now. We've been together almost 9 months. He starts a new job today, which will have his territory VERY NEAR my house, and so I am hopeful for the summer.
My niece is adorable, I am going to the Michael Buble concert in 2 weeks, and I am dreading my b-day in May.
2) Working on losing weight. I've officially lost over 50 pounds in the last 3 years (included in that time was a 20 pound gain, which I've lost AGAIN).
3) Work is pissing me off...just very tired and emotionally drained. Wish I could just work in a hole and not have to deal with anyone else.
4) The plan is to start TTC next month. We'll see, as I might be O'ing while we're in NYC! At least we have our own room...hehe
5) We got a new stove and dishwasher about a month ago and are still really excited about that.
6) We'll start working on cleaning out the garage and working on flower beds pretty soon. DH will do most of the outdoor work because of my stupid allergies, but I'll do what I can.
7) Our niece turns one this Friday, so we're going over to BIL & SIL's house to help get ready for the party (which is on Saturday). I can't even say how excited I am!!!
8) Overall, just really drained. Working on getting rid of this cold and just feeling sort of down emotionally. Work is getting to me pretty badly. But I just keep on keepin' on
2. Trying to lose my baby weight. I gained 70lbs and have lost 50 lbs so far, the goal is to lose the last 20 lbs by June, plus some.
3. I'm back to work and wish I could be home with my pumpkin a least part time, not possible. I was depressed about leaving my little guy at daycare, but he is doing really well. And I am getting more comfortable leaving him during the day.
4. We are planning a family vacation. DH wanted it to be just me and him, but I don't want to leave Weston for an overnight visit yet (I'm not ready, I am just getting used to leaving him during the day).
5. My hubby got a new car, his coupe wasn't going to cut it (the car seat didn't fit).
Sense a theme...our world now revolves around the kid.
Faith will be turning one on Thursday and I'm pretty much having a total life meltdown over that. She took her first steps last week and I screamed so loud it made her fall I scared her so bad.
The new Nanny is working out WONDERFULLY! I come home to a happy baby, a clean house, laundry folded....it is fantastic and she is worth every penny.
We will be spening a week in the OBX the first week in May and the first week in September and I can not wait. We are also taking an "adults only" (re:no baby) cruise in December. I have no idea how I'm going to leave Faith for a week.
No baby making going on here! ......yet.....
House renovations, we are just trying to make this new house a home. Our first project will start this weekend with faiths room and then I think we are moving onto the kitchen.
I broke my finger last night. Ouch. Hence all of the typos.
John and I are on a mission to get healthy and we are doing WW. So far so good. He so far has lost 20lbs and I have lost about 11lbs. We both have a lot more to go.
No in-law issues are the current moment, but that could change
That is the wrap up!
- Baby's coming in <6 weeks
- I feel great, no complaints
- DH is going to a conference soon for 5 days and I'll be all alone
- Our cars suck - $850 put in Altima in Feb, $350 put in Accord in March. Now my keyless entry is broken (Altima) and my keys don't work on the door....
- See above: we've officially done our civic duty and spent our ecomonic stimulus check - LOL!
- Some home security updates will be done hopefully tonight
- Last mini day-trip away with just DH on Sunday
- DH covering an extra class, this one down at OSU. Very busy and pretty grumpy.
I think that's all!
2. I am so burnt out on school, life & being sick.
3. I have been sick for 11 days now, this is getting old.
4. Going to Chicago in a few weeks for a long weekend, then Andy will stay for a week for training.
5. Trying to plan a trip to see my Dad at the end of June - we are meeting him in Phoenix (I think), but have lots of details to work out.
6. My brother's 18th b.day is next week and he graduates in June. It makes me feel so old!
7. I need to loose a TON of weight, but #2 and 3 above are making it hard. I think I need to sign up for WW or something to motivate me. Nothing like a public weigh in to make you get off your ass!
1. My little babies aren't so little anymore.
2. We've been thinking about a thrid, but whenever I try and fathom the logistics, it seems impossible. I only have 2 hands.
3. My brother, his wife and new baby are coming to visit us for the week. Ruby and Violet will finally get to meet their cousin, Isadora.
4. I find it impossible to clean my house.
We closed on a house last week and are in the process of minor repairs, painting, carpeting, etc.
Other things just keep moving forward! I need to find a specialization in my program soon, we want to get a dog once we move into the new house.
Sorry that I've been so MIA, but life has been busy lately. I've been jobsearching like a maniac and I got an offer yesterday. I have 2 more interviews this week---so wish me luck.
On that note---I'm putting in my resignation from my job this week I have to give 4 weeks notice, so let the 30 day countdown begin!!!!
Hmm let's see...
1. Am taking this quarter off from OSU - was feeling a bit burned out (am 4 classes away from finishing my BA! YAY!).
2. Have been dating a wonderful guy for almost 3 months now. He's the total opposite of ex-H and things come so easy with him - so needless to say, I'm very very happy.
3. Work is doing well - have been saddled with 2 big projects (website redesigns) and am enjoying it (I'm a nerd at heart!).
4. Looking forward to the warm weather so I can get out on my bike and do some walking - I think I've packed on a few lbs over the winter! Ugh!
5. Have ants in my pants to trade in my car (need to add it to my siggy - it's a 2004 Civic), but am not sure what I want and am bracing myself for student loan payments so don't think I want a higher car payment. Ugh.
6. There are lots of babies on the way within my group of friends, and I couldn't be more excited for them! YAY!!
All in all, living the solo life with my 2 cats isn't so bad
Good post! I also lurk alot to keep up on people but I don't post much myself. Let's see....
1. I have my first two baby showers this weekend. I'm really excited! My family is too big so we had to split it up into two days. haha It will be so much fun seeing everyone!
2. 3rd tri immobility is getting to me. I hate it!
3. DH is in OSU's part-time MBA program at night after work. He is taking 3 classes this quarter. This means he is hardly ever home and when he is, he has school work. So that leaves a very pg me with all the housework. We had a major fight this morning and I'm sure it's going to get worse as the quarter goes on. We both are running on very short fuses. Ugh! I can't wait for him to be out of school.
4. I decided to close up my video business "temporarily." Temporarily meaning like 10 years. With the baby coming, we decided I just don't have time. And we want more kids and we want them close in age. So something has to give and that's it. :-( I am definitely bummed, but it's what is best for our family.
2) There is opportunity for me to move up to handle larger agencies here at work (including higher ed which is what I really want to do) and my current team leader is going to try and help me move up! Very cool, so I hope it works out.
3) The weather is gorgeous here in Arizona...high 70s-mid 80s and sunny most days. It's nice to live somewhere where the sun shines pretty much everyday
4) My inlaws are here visiting for a week and they are dropping not so subtle hints that they hope we reconsider not having kids.
5) We are planning a trip back to Columbus for Memorial Day weekend! YEA!!!!!
6) For our two year anniversary trip (even though it'll be two months later than our anniversary because of my work and Chris' school) is to NYC and Boston. We are going to three baseball games and a Broadway show (haven't decided which yet), so it will be so fun.
7) Sophie is as cute as ever and has lots of doggie friends at our condo complex
8) I am having wine and cheese night with some girlfriends tonight which will be a lot of fun.
I am continuing to look for a new job. It is stressful but exciting at the same time. I am trying to make it through the current school year. (crossing my fingers- that I hear something soon).
I am looking forward to redoing the garden on the front of our house. It is a complete eye sore. I can't wait until it is a little warmer so that I can plant new flowers.
Dh and I are going to DC in July for a friend's wedding and some site seeing. We are both excited about it. DH is going on a business trip in May and I can't wait. I am getting a pedicure at Penzones and having a girls week.
Overall, things are going well for us. I am hoping that DH's aunt can pull through her brain cancer. I have thought alot about her in the last few days.
2) Because of #1, my kids are starting to get into everything. Our current favorites: opening and shutting doors, lots of "uh ohs" and Jack shoving the entire contents of our living room through the cat door!
3) We finally (thank God) got our car issues resolved and the warranty companty (toyota) put a whole new engine in. 6K in repairs we didn't have to pay. (Did I mention thank God?)
4) We did our taxes last night. Whew!
5) I am currently in the middle of my once-every-3-years observations at work. I know I don't need to be, but it makes me nervous!
6) Work is draining, but fun. 9 weeks till school's out. This is the busy time as a music teacher...3 upcoming concerts in the next 7 weeks!
7) Our sitter's not watching the boys next year so we are on the hunt for a daycare.
Overall, life is good. No talks of #3 yeat...we can't afford it yet, but someday!
Otherwise, life is pretty uneventful. I'm done working and we're just waiting for the baby to arrive.
I am here slowly transitioning into motherhood and working. I just wish I had one of those "easy" babies you hear about. I was one of those that never cried, I don't know why I didn't get one. haha
#1-Ariana is finally doing a little better on formula, but I have a very fussy baby! She only sleeps in 30 min intervals for naps even though she needs more which leads to a terror by the afternoon.
#2-Work is starting to pick up after taking a small break for having Ariana and with the spring coming. I am excited to see what 2008 brings for the C-bus housing market.
#3-DH and I are so ready for Spring to get our garage cleaned out and I am ready to see all my bulbs come out. I just hope the deer don't eat them all.
#4- I am looking forward to taking a vacation this summer, my first since Sept 2006. I don't think I've been more than a couple hours away from C-bus in a LONG time...sad isn't it?!?!
2. We just got back this past weekend from 8 days in Destin, FL. It was amazing.
3. Not dieting, although I should be!
4. In-laws are perfect as always.
5. We are coming to the conclusion that Shelby our yellow lab puppy has ADD or something. Almost two years later, and she still has not calmed down even slightly. And she still eats rocks often.
6. No baby. No plans for babies for several years.
7. My dad leaves for Afghanstan for six months on Saturday!
8. I think I am finally going to follow through with getting a brest reduction. Something I have wanted since I was 17 years old. I have had two appointments so far, and everything is going good with my insurance complying. I am looking to do this in December when I can commit to being on bed rest for 4-6 weeks. If anyone has any experience with this type of procedure, please let me know!
*Waiting on #2 to make his appearance any day now
*Chasing my year old climber all over the place. He's realized that he's still much faster crawling than walking, and his favorite pasttime is climbing up and down the stairs. He is also terribly obsessed with flushing the toilet. We've learned to keep the door shut.
*No vacation this summer...maybe a trip up to Geneva on the Lake or that area, but with a two little ones, I don't know that I'll be ready to go very far.
*We're still working on our house...it is turning into the never ending project.
*I can only hope that this baby is as good as Brody was and is about sleeping. He sleeps 10-12 hours a night and takes one 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon.
*Work is work. We've been busy but that makes the shifts go faster.
*I'm counting on breastfeeding working as well for losing the baby weight this time as it did last. By three months, I was back in my pre-baby clothes. We'll see.
*My MIL is a hypochondriac. 'nuff said.
Now that my wedding is over, I have a whole other plate of things to worry about:
1. Finding a job in or around Mt. Shasta, California, where my new DH has been living since October.
2. Possibly getting re-certified as a Medical Technologist since California has anal retentive rules about licensing and you have to take their special test (although I'm already certified).
3. Selling my condo, which has been on the market since October. I think it will be awhile before it sells, unless I get desperate and sell it for what I paid, which I can't logistically do anyway.
4. Get my cat, Romeo out to California..I worry about the stress it will cause him in moving across the country.
5. Start cleaning out my condo and trying to scale down what I will be taking me with when I move.
6. Try and figure out how I'm going to pay for all of this
My life in a nut shell:
1.) My baby girl turns 6 months old on Friday. Holy sheet, where has the time gone??? I'm scheduling pics for her.
2.) One day I'm so happy and thankful for my job and that I'm able to work part-time on the days I want, etc. The next day I hate it, feel completely overwhelmed and want to tell them all where to go so I can be at home w/ Maisie.
3.) Was diagnosed with hypothyroidsm 2 weeks ago and will be reevaluated in 5 weeks to see if the medication is working. In the meantime, I'm realizing how awful I've really been feeling...but didn't even notice.
4.) Am almost done nursing and have been batteling clogged milk ducts. ouch. So ready for my body to return to some sense of normalcy. Childbirth was not kind of my body.
5.)We've rented a beach house in SC with SIL & her family - going in June. CANNOT wait to get away and see Maisie's reaction to the beach.
6.) We're trying to get the house back in "showing condition" and get it on the market soon. We'll be interview realtors soon. The idea exhausts me. But we're hopeful it'll sell this time.
7.) DH is hoping for a promotion at the end of the month. Fingers crossed. He SO deserves it!
8.) Overall, just adjusting to life as a mom and managing the balancing act called life....and am truly loving every minute of it!
We are continuing to struggle with Koley and have had some doors open with options lately. We are anxious for some testing and new treatments.
I am working on putting a vacation together for the summer for the 6 of us. I think either Gatlinburg or Lake Cumberland. Super low key and relaxing. (as relaxing as it can be with 4!)
I am working on losing 40 more pounds. I lost 3 last week and another 2 this week so far. It seems like I am holding on to this weight alot longer than the other babies.
Looking forward to working in my flower gardens. I plan to scrape, prime and repaint my front porch...it is a mess!
I am starting to schedule again, as I am going to begin shooting sessions again in early May. I have two newborn sessions in the next couple of weeks. I LOVE the little ones! The response has been great. I am excited about the remainder of the year as I haven't had a session since December due to Brody's arrival.
~ C-Bus Magazine recently closed it's doors. Very sad and disappointing. I loved working with the staff there, very nice and actually seemed to care if my business was doing well or not. Due to this, I'm currently, I'm looking for some new advertising opportunites. I swear these advertising people can smell blood from hundreds of miles away!
~ Today we find out if "Puff" is a boy or girl. I was excited, but now that the day has arrived, I'm totally freaked. I just keep imagining them as teenagers and neither version seems better than the other.
~ Taxes went well again this year. Thank God for Russ Eberwein, he's an amazing accountant! Thanks again, Amber for refering him!!!!
~ We're currently looking to buy a newer vehicle. I am REALLY wanting a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander in the turquoise blue. But they are a little hard to come by. We're eyeing a couple, so we'll see.
~ Going to Greensboro at the end of April, beginning of May. Hope to get some relaxation in. It will probably be the last trip we get in before Puff is born. (Not including, camping or going down to KY fo rthe Longest Yard Sale, but that will be pushing it!) Kind of bummed that we won't be doing anything big for our 5th anniversary in Sept. ~ I'll still probably be recovering from having Puff.
Other than that, I am completely worn out all the time! I though the 2nd Tri was supposed to have all this energy, but that has not been the case for me.
Lets see what's going on in our lives,
Chad started back to school after spring break but the good news is we found out he did qualify for financial aid for next year. We wern't sure what was going to come through if any since we got married, filed jointly etc.
Trying to plan a trip to Oklahoma City early next month because my great-aunt is turning 90 and our presence has been required at the party (I haven't seen her since I was ohh maybe 11)
Oh and we might beable to get rid of our ugly orange plaid couches with our savings thanks to above financial aid.
Not much else, right now life is pretty much the Chad in school routine.
-my doggie had surgery last week to remove some growths from his gums - and now he smells SO much better and i can honestly say i love him again...
-we cannot decide if we should sell our house and try to find a new one now or wait a year or so. Our house is SO small... but we just bought a red sectional with a sleeper - so we are probably staying here for now.
-I feel like i am never gunna have a sound night of sleep ever again.. with the peeing, and the dreaming and the body parts falling asleep - soon to be replaced by being awakened by a hungry baby!
-my job is hard and i just got a bunch more responsibility dropped on me -with no pay increase of course.. I am SO incredibly tired of managing people. Being a manager is hard and i dont think i like it anymore (did i ever?) Too bad i need the income, esp now.
- We find out in exactly one week if its a boy or girl and I could not be more excited! I just want to know what it is!
-Oh! I felt the baby move for the first times this week! thats been pretty awesome too!
-i Love, Love, Love my DH. he has been so awesome thru this whole pregnancy so far and cooks for me nearly everynight, has been cleaning and taking care of the animals - i swear - i am falling in love all over again!
I am building up my caseload at work and got 5 new referrals in the last 2 days, so yay! It was starting to feel like I didn't have enough clients to justify my full-time status.
Now TTC, which is exciting and frustrating and nervewracking.
Trying to decide what sort of home improvements we'll do this spring. I desperately want to get rid of at least some of the hideous wallpaper the lovely previous owners left.
My college housemates and I are meeting in Branson in a few weeks (one's parents have a time share there) and I am so excited! The 6 of us haven't gotten to spend much time all together in the last few years.
