Share your favorite Martini and the recipe if you know it. (Or your favorite fun adult drink!)
Re: Martini's
It's not complicated---just pomegranate juice, a sugar cube, and champagne!
Sooooo good
hah, sorry bout that, i was a bit tipsy last night, not paying attention to the post!
Emily, I STILL have that same bottle of vanilla vodka and curacao in my fridge!! i dont want to throw it out, but i cant bring myself to drink any more of them :-P
iheartsean's husband (sean) bought us pineapple upsidedown cake shots one night, i have no idea how they are made but they were awesome!
The wedding cake martini rett'sbride mentioned sounds similar.
Washington Apple makes a good martini too. Use either crown royal or vanilla vodka (I prefer crown but some places use vodka b/c it is less expensive)--about 2 oz.; apple pucker--about 3/4 oz.; cranberry juice. shake over ice and strain into a martini glass. garnish w/cherry and/or apple slices.
I also like greyhounds. They are not martinis, but I supose anything can be served in a martini glass. It is--vodka, grapefruit juice over ice in a salt rimmed glass. YUM!!
White Russians are good too. Vodka, kaluah (sp?) and cream. Add a splash of coke for a Black Russian. Shounds weird w/coke, but it is really good.
I bartended for years so if I can think of any more good cocktails I'll send them your way.
Thanks for the ideas, ladies!! I found a recipe for a Chocolate Martini that I may try at my friends this weekend - it calls for vodka and chocolate liquer (Godiva, I think) and then rim the glass with cocoa powder??? I dunno . . .but we may give it a try.
I think I would like to try the wedding cake one sometime!
