After work, I'm going to a wax appt, and cooking dinner; I'm preparing a Spanish tortilla with potatoes and cheese. DH wants ham, but I try to observe "no meats on Fridays" during Lent.
Tomorrow, I'm thinking of going to Sawgrass, but don't want to waste gas. I really don't have anything specific to buy. Otherwise, I want to go to Target and BB&B. No plans for the evening, yet. I'd like to go out w/ Dh to dinner. I deserve it. I actually cooked everyday this week!
Sunday I want to organize / declutter the house.

I am so happy its Friday. Its been a long week.
I have to clean this weekend, I want to go see my Madrina, I want to pass by BBB and get some organizing stuff for my kitchen.
Lets see how much of this gets done!
Hope that wont be a brazilian wax.. because if you haven't heard .. they're trying to make it illegal, lol!
This weekend I will be hosting a tea party for my nieces (I'm actually nervous, can you believe it?) at night I will be performing at Maroosh (coral gables resaurant) and Sunday I want to surprise DH with a " I love Mark" day and top it off with a hot date. Things have been so hectic and I know he feels left behind =(

i won't be doing anything special. tonight i'm going to my mommy's for some din din and to hang out w/my uncle. then saturday we have a picnic for kids who are less fortunate...that is going to be soooo much fun. dh & i are in charge of the snow cone & cotton candy machine. i'm going to have a sugar rush!!! and sunday, my daddy comes back so i'll be back at my parents relaxing and enjoying some grub.

Tonight hopefully I can get DH to take me out to dinner,
Saturday I have to work "booooooooo" DH does not have to work now so he is going to start taking the wood paneling off the walls so we can put up dry wall.
Sunday is our usual Sunday dinner with the IL's, maybe during the day I can get DH to take me to the HOME & GARDEN show at the Expo center.
You know...............I have to confess: I have a love/hate relationship with these waxes. I only get them for special occasions! lmao! For some reason they are very painful for me. I have to really really think about getting to the wax place. Once its over though I really do love them.

Ladies, here's the buzz
NJ officials are proposing to ban Brazilian wax jobs which are a waxing of the genital region. Why are they doing this? Because two clients were injured at a salon in NJ. Hmmmm... I guess that makes sense. I got cut shaving yesterday, they should ban that. ... The NJ Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling has stated that it has always been illegal though it is not stated in the current regulations."

Uh, Jackie, my love, you will hurt my feelings if you do not hit my favorite and bestest Sawgrass stores! Crate and Barrel Outlet, Le Creuset Outlet (they usually have a sale on a color or "type" all the time, check it out!), and...you must hit Barney's Outlet (I head straight for the sale rack, sometimes you find some gems), and make sure you grab a quiche at Panna, right past the Ben and Jerry's stand. They are all in the Colonaade shops.
If you stray from them, at the Oasis pop over to Nordstrom Rack (I love the shoes!) then I walk from the there straight into the mall to visit my beloved JCrew Outlet, they have these really pretty dresses on sale and the tanks. The Forever 21 Outlet is at the WannaDo City entrance...ignore all the kids screaming.
Now...conquer!!!
Why is it anyone elses business how people groom themselves? I think this is rediculous that they are trying to do that. I think as long as the salons are probably being cleaned and they know what they are doing its at your own risk whether or not to do that kind of grooming. Why does it have to be regulated by the government??
I personally have not done this yet but if I do choose to groom this way I don't want the goverenment to tell me that I can't.
Oh, and IKEA is right down the street.
Our plans for the weekend? Today, I need to do groceries...bad. I am going to start my spring cleaning, but I'm going to do it room by room so I don't go nuts. DH and I have been talking about redoing the front, I'm looking forward to ripping out these ugly bushes that we finally got approval for. DH isn't feeling to well, so I'm going to take advantage of his lack of energy and spend time at home. Usually on the weekends he's like a caged animal and he has to get out of the house, which means I have to sneak in my to-dos...not this time! HA!
I agree! Why are they making it illegal? These people probably "got hurt" because the waxer didn't know what they were doing. That happened to me once at The Contour Day Spa in Plantation.
All I wanted was a bikini wax. Let me put it this way...I practically did it myself because the lady had no idea what she was doing. I think she was a massage therapist that just volunteered and said, "let me take a swing at it!". Needless to say I was in pain and never went there again.
Now I go to Uni K Wax (thanks to you ladies) and they are awesome! No pain whatsoever.
So in summary...leave our hoohaas alone government!
I prefer the brazilian but I just can't find the time to get to the salon so I end up shaving. Which I hate!!! And I must be a freak b/c I don't think it hurts too much, I hate the tweezers even more.
I don't have anything to add to the wax conversation, but it's very entertaining.
As for this weekend, we need to run to the mall to pick up a couple of things, so we'll probably do that tonight after dinner. Tomorrow will be full of grocery shopping and probably a trip to Lowes to stare at the paint samples and get overwhelmed. DH has a baseball scrimmage on Sunday, so we're hoping for good weather. I'm glad we're getting rain, but it makes me want to stay curled up in bed.
No plans yet, but I'd like to do some gardening if it doesn't rain.
As for the brazilian waxes - all I can say is that I hope they don't ever make it illegal cause I love my brazilians (and so does DH, LOL).
Doris just wanted to say...OMG you're 16 weeks already!!! Time flies!!! I feel like just yesterday you announced your pregnancy. Congrats!!
Yay for the weekend again
Groceries, laundry and spending some time with the family this weekend. I have my two little cousins coming over since my mom is babysitting and she needs all the help she can get plus my godchild who is not soo little anymore. It'll be fun 
Now on the wax topic I cant beleive the government would even begin to get involved. I sware they have more important things to do!
I have always wanted to get one but worry about how painful they are....none of my friends have gotten one so I'd be afraid to be the first.
I will be at the ASPA Conference all weekend in Miami. The majority of my professors and fellow doctoral students from Tally are in town. We are having a blast catching up and hanging out together. My friend, Susan, is staying with me and we are like to giddy schoolgirls together. How I miss my friends from Tally. I'm also networking with professors from other universities since I will be on the job market in the fall.
