please pray for my dog

So I came home for lunch to meet the IKEA delivery guy. My dog Evey did not even move when I walked in the house. I looked closer and saw that she had gotten sick everywhere and she looked absolutely horrible. I literally thought she was dying. Her tongue was purple and hanging out of her mouth along with a long string of mucus and yellow bile. So I hurried up and took her to the vet. They did blood work and chest xrays and she has pneumonia. I am just worried sick, I cannot stop crying. I know this may be silly, but she is like my child. She was fine yesterday, I just hope that she will be ok. I am really sad and I am sitting at my house all by myself. Our other 2 dogs are staying with family while we get things ready for the move, and now the house is so quite. Please pray that she will get better and be ok. Thanks

I completely understand the attachment and I am so sorry your baby is so sick.  I came home one day when I was still pregnant and a neighbor knocked on my door to tell me that Tanner was having a seizure in the back yard.  I was in hysterics and ran outside, carried him to the car and called the vet while I was on my way there.  It is amazing the love and affection we feel for our animals.  Your vet will take good care of him though, don't worry.

I called the vet while the delivery man was here to see if there was something I should do for her until I got her to the vet, and the girl was so rude to me. She wasnt even going to let me bring her in until she had confirmation from one of the vets that they could fit her in. I was pissed, I was like my dog looks like she is about to die. And she was like oh ok fine bring her in. I was shocked at the way she treated me.

Oh, I'm so sorry hon. Hang on to her and do the best you can.  If your vet isn't responding well, the people at Med Vet are always super nice and they're used to emergency situations. They're a little more pricey, but we all know it's worth it. Keep us posted...

I will pray for your dog. I know exactly how you feel, I have a cat and she is family to me. I love that cat!!! Can't even think about that day when I won't have her anymore, makes me cry just thinking about it. Hang in there I'm sure the vet will do everything they can. I'm so glad you went home at lunch and found her then. ((Hugs))

The vet treated you so rudely!  I hope she is feeling better soon.  Thank goodness you came home and were able to take her to the vet so quickly!

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Evey stayed the night at the vet she is doing alot better than when I took her at noon. Her breathing improved and she didn't have to be monitered all night. They are going to let me know today if she can come home or not. I rather her be there and safe than at home. I did not sleep much last night, but I am glad she is doing better.
