Mom's Birthday Help!
Okay, I need some suggestions. My mom is turning the big 5-0 next month and my dad has asked me to come up with a suprize party for her with all her friends and family (including men). She is not thrilled, as you can imagine, to be turning 50 so I wanted it to be nice.
The question is where could we go and/or what can we do?

Both of my parents are turning 50 this year (dad in June; mom in September). They are renting a condo for a week in Lake Tahoe and my husband and I are meeting them up there (we live in Arizona). So perhaps you could just plan a nice trip? I would say if your mom isn't happy with turning 50, I wouldn't plan anything that would put her in the spotlight in case she would react badly.
the crowne plaza downtown has a cute smaller reception/ball room. it's called fusion and it hold up to 100 people but would be very nice for something smaller.
