And what a great trip it was!!
My ILs rental house did not disapoint - less than a block to a beautiful, huge, long beach that only local residents really use (very few people on it). My MIL seems to spend about 2 hours a day just walking with the dogs on the beach. I would never get sick of that! We also went to the Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, drove part of Route 1, and the highlight: went whale watching around the Channel Islands. It was amazing, we saw a thousand dolphins (no exageration, it was a large pod), sea lions, birds, a seal, and 3 grey whales! It was a mating pod, so they were.. ah hem.... being intimate. lol. But it was amazing, the courtship involves a lot of stuff so we got to see more than most people because it isn't a normal breeding ground (they usually just migrate through.
Anyways, just wanted to say I am back and brag about my exploits.
Re: Back from CA
