Strange/scary - read this....
I just received an email from my contact at ODJFS who I used to locate daycare, and they are being contacted by police about gang member initiation rituals. Short story of it is: Do not flash your lights at people who have theirs turned off when it's dark/getting dark, or flash people with brights on. If you are the first person to do this to a new gang or potential new gang member, they are required to track you down and shoot everyone in your car.
Since it came from someone who doesn't know me, I feel this is a true story and not urban legend. Better safe than sorry anyways.

I think this story has been floating around for as long as I can remember . . .but just to be safe, I never flash anyone
I don't even do it to warn people that a cop is sitting close by. I'd rather be safe that sorry

Hmmm. I don't know then. but I still won't do it. That sounded dumb that I said I believed it because it was from someone who didn't know me. I should have just said it seemed legit. Oh well. pardon my stupidity.....
Urban legend-I think the first time I heard that was in middle school. It was actually even in the movie "Urban Legend".
